Kenko USA is a major grocery retailer that sells snacks. Riku Fujimoto, the founder of Cheez-It, has partnered with the company to introduce the Japanese rice crackers to American consumers. The partnership will help Kenko expand sales in other outlets and allow Riku to prove that the product can be sold with other snacks.

Origins

The origins of Cheez-It rice cake crackers and chips go back to the early twentieth century. The company created a snack that would make people happy, called Happy Turn, in Japan. The chips are coated with a sweet-and-salty flavoring that is meant to give the consumer a happy feeling. The chips are packaged in candy-like packaging.

Flavor innovation

New flavors are coming soon to Cheez-It. The brand will debut Smoked Bacon & Cheddar, Parmesan Ranch, and Cheez-It Snap'd. Each flavor will bring a unique twist to a classic snack. The company will also launch a new line of Pringles and Rice Krispies Treats. The company is aiming to appeal to consumers' growing desire for more flavor and texture. The new products will also target both the indulgence-seeking crowd and the health-conscious group.

In recent years, Cheez-It has been expanding its customer base with innovative new products. The brand introduced fun new formats, expanded its geographic reach, and created new flavors. These innovations have helped the brand to expand its primary product line and generate significant incremental revenue.

In the past several years, Cheez-It consumption has grown exponentially. The company has also increased production capacity and a new line aims to cater to the late-night snack market. The Snap'd line has also seen an increase in sales, and a new product called Cheez-It Puff'd aims to satisfy those cravings later in the day.

While the rice cake industry has largely stagnated for several decades, there has been a recent resurgence in the industry. The growth of the gluten-free and whole-grain markets is driving the popularity of these products. For example, Whole Foods has a dedicated aisle for popcorn snacks and organic puffed rice cakes. Meanwhile, brands like Quaker are positioning rice cakes as healthy whole-grain alternatives to snack foods. Sales have increased fourteen percent in the past year alone.
